Devin is a 19-year-old son of a wealthy family, living high above, at the peak of society, in Zaenithia.

Everyone here is born Blessed. Through visionary advancements in procreation and gestational control, the citizens of this higher city are perfected into the ultimate human beings.

Below the line of this prosperity lies a bleak existence that sustains the heavenly place above.
Stretching into a dizzying cluster of concrete monoliths, this underlying world is home to an incalculable number of people, settled in massive brutalist buildings that loom over the world beneath them.

The deeper the descent into this array of megalithic structures, the lower the status of the population and the darker their existence becomes. Down there, it’s called the Mudirum.

Everything is planned, set, and controlled by the enlightened regime,

whose presence runs deep within every level of society.

The only way to escape is chemically.

In a way, kems are the true currency, the central point of interest at every level.
